98 sport speaker whoas

I have been having problems with my speakers and sound quality. I have Alpine type-s speakers in right now and an aftermarket pioneer HU. The speakers dont seem to be running like they should. I experience symptoms similar to having an amp interfering (like speakers cutting out, getting lower and louder randomly), but from what i have been reading i do not have an external amp in a 1998 sport. Has anybody else experienced this problem with a 1998 sport or newer models? or does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

It sounds like a wiring issue or a bad head unit.

Might be bad stock wiring. Try running new lines to your speakers directly to the HU, instead of using the connections on the harness.

yea i just re ran new wires and that solved the problem, thanks for the quick replies.
