99/00 Front Fascia/Bumper swap on 98 XLT??

[98 XLT 4x4]

Does anyone know if i can use just the bumper cover or if i need the whole bumper and all that stuff? Wondering because i found one pretty local for not to bad of a price and in great shape. But its only the cover. Anyone have any clue. Thanks

Did you ever receive an answer on this. I am extremely interested in doing the same so I can use the fog lamps..

They're interchangeable. Ask Alphabet13 about it. He swapped a 2000 bumper with his '96.
