So on my 2000 V8, I put the bumper on off my 1999 parts car following an accident, it's in great condition with the exception of the driver's side fog light chrome is gone off of it, it fell off, or popped out or something, it's held in with clips? I'm wanting to pull one out a JY bumper and put in, anybody ever done that before? It worth the work?

They're held on with double sided trim tape. LMC truck and RockAuto sell them new.

Ohh, I'd figured the clips held them since the old one off the bad bumper had clips on the back, the more you know. You got a link? I'm looking where they'd normally be and don't see them.

The fog light bezels on my 2000 are held on with bolts. Are some kept on with tape?

I was looking at my EB today. I do see 2 screws on the edge by the wheel well. Maybe there are screws, but I swear I saw some for sale somewhere that included some pieces of double-sided trim tape. Maybe I'm thinking about something else, but it shouldn't require "bolts" to hold on a piece of plastic that really serves no purpose other than looking nice. IDK.

It might be a combination of both. I was going to remove mine but I got the visible bolts off and it still wouldn’t come off. So either there’s more hidden bolts somewhere or there was tape holding it on. I’ll give it another go when I install my XB foglights.

I'm just guessing, but my guess would be plastic studs molded into the plastic then those sheet metal nut things that self tap [self die? :) ] onto the plastic studs.

I believe they're called pal nuts or speed nuts. While looking for the chrome covers I saw pictures of the '00-'01 front bumper covers that had large triangular shaped holes there the fog lights go. IDK what that was all about. My '00 XLT had the same fog lights as my '01 EB, but only the EB has the chrome covers. I assumed the bumper covers were identical, but maybe not.

Note how in the above image there appear to be slits around the hole. Maybe the slits help locate the chrome cover and maybe there are pieces that snap into the slots?

Okay, I've done it, the good is, it's not glued on, it does have clips and bend out tabs, plus three bolts holding it. You remove the bumper to install and remove it, which is a two person job, but once you get it off, it's obvious how to remove and install it, I got a used one stuck on right now, with a tiny screw on one corner because I warped it, but it's better than a big hole.
