I changed the upper and lower intake gaskets today on a 99 explorer sport with the 4.0 SOHC motor. That fixed the major leak I had. I also found that the bracket that the IAC mounts to with four bolts to the intake has a bad gasket and is now the only leak I have. I can not find this gasket on rock auto or the local parts stores. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I never did find the P/N for the gasket. I coated the old gasket with a thin layer of permatex #2 and that took care of the leak. I still have a leak on the two plastic type connectors that go onto the bottom of the intake with the white clips. Any suggestions?

Well sorry I'm late here. Of course Rock Auto has that part (# XF2Z9F670AA)...

http://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=1097539&cc=1354542&jnid=634&jpid=2

It is listed under the heading "Fuel and Air," Idle Air Control Valve Gasket...

They call those white clips "Hairpin Clip Fittings" and they connect to intake to your fuel Vapor management valve (VMV) hose.

Not sure what to do about a leak there. Do you know where it's leaking from there or is it the hose or the clip, etc.?

And I need to ask how you think you know it's leaking there because I think I may have the same problem... :dunno:

Anyone else know something about this?
