99' Explorer with rear controls, want to install new equipment! Help!

Alright, so I have a 1999 Explorer. It has the factory cd player still in it, with stock speakers, and the rear controls ( on the center column on the back of it ). Is there any way I can make them compatible with a dvd/cd player setup? Or at least keep the volume controls with the headphone jacks? I was also thinking about replacing the stock speakers, and adding a sub and amp.

This is sort of like what I want to install, or something similar. Im not looking to spend a whole lot of cash, just want to make my back controls semi-functionable. Any help is great, thanks

Sorry the answer is no. when you replace the factory radio you will loose these.
