not gas mileage...Fuel mileage:)

They are probably about equal; depending upon rearend gearing though. My 6.0 Powerstroke gets around 22mpg, and I drive it hard but dont tow anything. I have seen 7.3s get between 17-23 mpg on the highway.

what about the city "fuel mileage"?, itll have the bolt ons edge or bully dog

bolt ons will really decrease your fuel mileage..well, an exhaust will help slightly if you dont drive it hard, but fueling mods will kill your mileage. I have a 4" exhaust, but I did it for the sound, not the power/mileage increase. I love to hear the turbo. Also I have the intake silencer removed.

well i got a 99 f250 4x4 pwr stroke this morning,

ive thought about adding a exhaust(stacks maybe) only because i here they add like 25whp, and a air intake, and maybe the edge tuner(the ones with levels 1-5)

A friend of mine is running bully dog chip in his f250 diesel and his gas mileage went up by 3 mpgs  with a 60 hp gain (small little chip)

I also have a chip/tuner om my 6.0, and it does increase fuel mileage as long as you dont drive it hard. I can turn mine up to max power gain and get about 9mpg cruising around town, but get 23 mpg with the same setting on the highway.

Right, it's like any vehicle really - you can take a honda and get crappy gas mileage by the way you drive - and you can take a super duty and get decent mileage.

But if I turn the programming to stock mode, I cant make it get bad mileage. I can only make the mileage really bad if I turn on the fuel dumper:) I drive it like I stole it in stock mode(programmer bypassed) and I still get 22mpg. Now my old V10 Super Duty, if you babied it it still got 13mpg:)

My friend has a '05 Dodge Cummins 600 and he gets better fuel mileage than mine does. This is kinda off subject, but his Dodge doesn't have manual hubs like my SD has.

well i still didnt do any mods to my f250 yet, ive been gettin 16mpg city and 22hwy, is there any mods out there to help the fuel mileage, and maybe give this truck a little more pep,

what is the stock 1/4 mile time for a f250 4x4 7.3?
