99 problems..

So I had a spur of the moment trip yesterday to buffalo ny, about 4 hrs from me, and I was surprised by how well it was driving after not being used by the PO. Well I got there with no problems and drove back same day and about 10 minutes away from my house, sh°t struck. The truck starts losing power on the highway and a good shaking. I had to keep pulling over when it did this, shut it off andd then continue on. At one point it shut itself off at a light and.wouldnt start back up so I pushed it into a riteaid and let it sit. Also shut off the the accessories. After about 2-3 minutes it started but was running really rough but I got it home.
The power loss felt almost felt like if someone were to put the wrong gas in a car that calls for premium.
Thankfully it was acting up 10 minutes from home and not 4 hours!
But anyways im going to go get some seafoam and some other things and try to treat it. If you guys have any suggestions, they're always appreciated

if the check engine light is on, get it scanned that will point you in the right direction easily,

i think its probably/hopefully the fuel filter. after i filled the tank with new gas, it prob mixed with the crap gas in the tank and got caught up in there.
so im gonna throw the new one on tomorrow also run the seafoam through and see what happens..
