Hi all,

I have a 99 Explorer Sport I recently replaced my alternator and noticed that my Rear Defroster and Overdrive are not working. I've search and found no fuses related to these and wonder if anyone has had the same issue. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Bren

The rear defrost relay coil and the O/D cancel switch are both powered through fuse #27 in the dash fuse panel.

Rwenzing,

A 1,000 thanks man!! I wish the manual was a bit more descriptive! That was the issue along with the location being EMPTY! Don't know what the hell happened but it may have been removed at the shop, for what reason I'll never know.

Thanks again I appreciate it!

Bren

oh wow...that's scary as hell! The first question that came to my mind is WHY???? Why in the world would it be empty? Did they have to rob the fuse for some other spot that needed it worse than that one? (hopefully) Or is their a problem with that circuit? I find it curious that someone would rob a fuse from the OD circuit...so keep a close eye on things and don't use a larger fuse than called for.
