99 v6 sohc help

I need to replace my motor (99 v6 sohc) . I've done some research and haven't found any definite answers. I need to know which years of the same motor are exact matches. I know that the intake is different on some and that some other small parts are different as well. I don't have the tools or a place to work on it , so I'll have to pay someone to do the work for me. I want to have it be as simple as possible to keep my costs down.

I think the 1999-2001 motors are the same. Why not call an auto wreaker and ask them what will work. They should know

If the Vin # has an E It is the SOHC if its Vin X is an OHV hope that helps.

I belive you can take a sohc motor out of a 02 or 03 also if you use all the stuff on top like MAF sensor ect. That way you wont run into the timing chain problem
