99 XLT 4hi/lo dash lights

On my 99, my 4 wheel hi and lo lights on the dash flash at me three times then stop. Does anyone know what the 3 times stands for? It will not engage in 4 wheel drive at all, but the lights flash about once a minute three consecutive times and then quit.

did you unplug the switch? it blinks 3x's and stops like every30 seconds or so...

Switch???

Which Switch are you talking about???? I havent knowlingly unplugged anything. I have thought about taking the connections off and letting the computer reset to see if that fixs it. Let me know which switch you are talking about

the 4x4 switch...check that...just push it in more...or check a fuse, it probaly would be something that minor.
