A/C issue culprit.... Bearings going out on fans?

Finally was able to record it, fans have been getting worse and now I have proof for the dealership to actually replace em. Sounds like the bearings are going bad, and IIRC there was an issue with premature failure on these vehicles. What say the masses, demand I get them replaced ASAP?

yup, definitely sounds like the fans are failing.

Yep, the fans were known to rust and seize or fail completely, especially with the earlier model years and it still occurs with the later gens but less frequently. Get it under warranty if you still have it under warranty.

How many miles are on the Explorer? If it's under warranty, then yes, I'd schedule an appointment and take it in.

And I don't remember, what years did the TSB on fans apply to?

Anything else happening/happened that would cause that noise, or would have caused damage to the fans?

34k miles and no way to have acquired any damage to the fans
