I have a super A/C system! It won't shut off.
It's always "on" except when the switch is turned to the vent selection above the A/C mode, other then that it blows cold air and the compressor runs most of the time.
Has anyone else had this chiling effect?
Let me know what you think the cause might be?

Thanks!!

Yes, I had the same question. I called my ford dealer when I noticed it and they said that certain settings have a "climate control" and the air is automatically on. Kinda limits the setting you can use at a given situation. So it ain't your A/C. Hope this helps.

I did stop by the Ford dealer and they said the same thing.
There are only two settings that the A/C won't cycle on.
They don't say that in the owners manual.
Ford said the '97 owners manual was a carry over from the '96? Who knows what they were thinking?

Thanks for the help,
