94 RANGER SPLASH
well ive searched this site and found nothing similar to my problem. 94 ranger 4x4 200,000 miles with a $1600.00 trans rebuild 3 years ago. this problem happened all of a sudden, no slipping or unusual signs. the truck runs great for about 5 minutes then at about 45mph it acts as if u put it in neutral. you can rev and rev and get nothing but if you slow the truck down to about 25mhp you can feel the trans shift into gear and the truck is fine till you get that fast agian. the problem is not constant some times it will shift all the way to 65 with no problems. i can usually make the trans act up by goosing the engine for a split second, but it is always the same speed. i checked the fluid it was burnt no hardware in the pan just the usual, a sludgy magnet. i did notice brass like dusting in the pan. anywayi installed a new filer and fluid. i had already installed a mlp sensor. test drove same problem. should i bite the bullet and rebuilt, thinking it is the clutch pak seals or what. any direction would be greatly appreciated.
