a4ld hard shift into reverse

1993 explorer 4x4. when i put it into reverse it shifts pretty damn hard. going into drive is fine, maybe just a little hard. got clean fluid at the right level. dont know when the last time the filter was changed. not in the last 10k miles since ive had it, only 103k on the vehicle. HELP ME BEFORE IT FAILS ME!

Are you saying that physically, getting the lever into the Reverse position it is difficult? OR are you saying that once it is in Reverse, it makes a loud THUD/THUNK sound, indicating that it is a 'hard shift' into reverse?

damn i thought i explained it enough (i know what im talking about). physically shifting is not hard. the whole truck jumps when its put into reverse. no loud noises or anything. it almost acts like im on the throttle when shifted into reverse when its at idle, but drive is fine

Check the transmission mount.
