a4ld shift solenoid resistance

Anyone have a set of working a4ld solenoid and a DVM?

I did a 700r4 conversion and since I don't have an a4ld anymore the computer says the soldnoids are bad (they are missing). I don' thae my old solenoids so I can't just put them in the wire harness.

What I want to do is find what the resistance is on them and put a resister in the harness to get rid of my CEL.

Left side of the tranny.. there is a connector there for the Tcc and the 4th gear... I'll see if I can find better instructions...

ok.. got more info..

There are 3 wires going to the tranny that we worry about to get the resistance..

Purple/Yellow (Tcc), Orange/Yellow (4th gear) and Red

If I remember correclty, the red is 12V.. the computer then grounds (don't every put the wire to ground) the TCC or 4th gear solenoid when it wants them on..

What I need is the resistance between the Purple/Yellow wire and the red wire.. And the same time for the Orange/Yellow to red wire...

You can actually do this in the engine bay.. Find the connector (drivers side) that has those 3 wires.. disconnect the connector then check the reistance between the wires...

I would really appreciate it if someone could get me those resistances.. I really don't want to try to find an a4ld at a yard to measure it there assuming I can find one that still has the a4ld in it.. (its really hot out now adays)...

Did i not see on here that they are supposed to be between 25-40 ohms.

If you think you saw it.. its worth me searching again ...

Maybe searching on the symptom instead of the solenoid will work better..( no od an no lockup symptoms).

I found it on the 'net. The specs for both the TCC and the 3-4 solenoid are 26-40 ohms. I put in a "y" ciruit of 33 ohm reistors. Basically I ran a 33 ohm resistor from the TCC wire to the common 12v and did the same for the 3-4 solenoid.

My CEL is now gone.
