? about message center

The message center in my 06 started to pixilate tonight.It is very dim with a few bright dots here and there.Has anyone else had this problem? If so,what was the fix? Thanks in advance.

Was it really cold when it did it?

It has been cold,but I dont think thats the problem.The truck is parked in a heated garage and still looks the same.

I've taken a couple apart and if a guy has the right tools (Solder sucker & Solder Iron) he could swap the LCD unit itself from another cluster. It would be a pain though. If you goto the stealership with a whole new cluster then they will have to install it becuase your truck wont run without the orginal one in it because of the PATS info is stored in it. They will have to transfer the data in the old one to the new one. LCD displays usually act like that when the controller chip is going out on them.
