Howdy,
I am new to working on Explorers and am so glad I found this site.
I'm in the process of replacing the trans on my '00 XLS with 230k.
Last night I had it on the hoist and had trouble finding a spot for the front arms due to the torsion bars.
I finally put the arms under a bracket on the frame. It looks like a body mount, right under the front doors and not the frame itself. It looks pretty sturdy, but didnt want to assume.
Are these normal lift points? I did a cursory search, but didnt find anything specific to using a lift. I'm sure this has been asked in a number of threads, but my searches kept returning body and suspension lift topics.
Thanks for the help!
Eric
