ABS, did all 1999 Explorer XLTs come with it?

My ABS "check light" has never worked since I bought the truck (about 6 weeks ago)...I called the garage I bought it from and have arranged to have them replace the light in the dash...but I now think its a bigger problem...I tested the ABS system by slamming the brakes on a ice covered road (several times) and no ABS activation....just the old fashioned lock and slide..wtf!

So I guess I either got a truck without ABS (was that an option?) or its just not working...maybe the reason I don't get the ABS check light on start up is becasue there is no ABS!

ABS came standard on all the trucks that new. At least it came on my '94 standard, so you should definitely have it.

Yes, your '99 has ABS.
