ABS light comes on when I start my 96 Explorer. Sometimes it wont, very random. Stopped and had the code read and was told problem is with front right side. Cleaned both front sensors, nothing. Unplugged at connector closet to sensor and this is what it read.

Front right: 2.593 M ohms
Front left: 1103 ohms

I know enough that they should read close to the same but not sure which reading is telling me the bad one or if one is bad. I was expecting to find one with a open circuit. Anyone ever read one or has enough electrical background to help? Thanks in advance :us:

2.6 Meg is pretty much an open circuit.

OK thanks, that must be the problem. Thought about switching them to see if the error code reading would follow the sensor to the left side. Thanks again

Update: Took off the one reading 2.593 M ohms. It read 1108 ohms so it was inconsistent. That would explain why my ABS light would be on one day and not the next. Bought a used one off ebay and all is good now.
