Odd problem:

I have a 03 Ranger XLT where I can't seem to get just outside air. No matter what outside airflow option I choose, I get cold air from the AC. Even at the lowest fan setting, I get too cold and have to switch the knob periodically to OFF.
This is my first Ford truck so I'm new with these vehicles.

Anyone heard of this before? Thanks for your time.

Did you figure out what the problem was/is? My 2002 Explorer Sport is doing the same thing and I'm lost as to why its doing it. I have absolutly not heat but the A/C works better then any vehicle I've owned lol

I had to do more research and learned that this is by design from Ford. Normally I am used to having an option for the fam blowing in outside air w/o conditioning, but I guess Ford decided that the consumer didn't need this capability.
