ac doesnt work

Ok another problem with my truck..(02 xlt)the ac doesnt blow out cold so i went to go buy a refill can for the ac. i hooked up the hose with the gauge turn the ac on and the gauge was going all over the place and i heard a clicking noise...anyone know bout this..also it only blows out the vents when iam driving not when iam stopped!

The clicking is the compressor cycling from low freon.

well when i go to fill it the gauge keeps moving alll over the place.n is it normal for it to only come out of the vents when iam driving?cause it doesnt come out when iam at a stop

The gauge keeps bouncing every time the compressor cycles. Jump the cycling switch while refilling it, then reconnect the wiring harness, and test it with a manifold gauge set.

so i just get a manifold gauge and check it at the compressor?

That would be the way to start. Test the low, and high side pressures.
