Ok I'll try to keep this short....

Had a problem with the output air not being very cool, noticed that the compressor was cycling on and off every 5 seconds or so. I was told to see if it was over charged, wasnt overcharged. Now there is no freon in the system as it was drained out to allow for the changing of the orifice tube, high pressure switch, and the clutch cycling switch. Now a few questions that I still have are these....

1. I am going to replace those 3 parts and then evac the system before filling it up again. Should I use a can of freon with oil in it first as some oil was lost and then go with straight freon?

2. How many cans should it take to fill the system from bone dry till the compressor will cycle on its own properly (gonna jump it to make it cycle for the beginning fills)?

3. Are there any special tricks to getting the orifice tube out?

4. I have a set of gauges and was wondering what temp outside is best for filling the freon with and what the gauges should read when its at a good level?

Sorry for all the questions, just want to get this right.

Thanks for any help.

Dan
