Active Grille Shutters Sticking, making a huge noise

As we know they aren't covered under warrantee, I'm worried they will stick closed on a trip causing horror shows.

Anybody ever had it where they start the car, then about 2 seconds later the grilles crack before moving?

Welcome to the Forum.
When you say "grilles crack" do you mean they open causing a noise? Or is the noise before they open? I don't believe anyone has reported that issue with the shutters. I've never heard them myself. I can't even tell you if mine are open or closed before I startup.

it sounds like they are 'stuck' and then break free, it's quite loud
