so im thinking of getting new shocks for my explorer tomorrow. the one that i (better yet my wife since the ones i really want are "to expensive") picked out are http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product__15560032-P_34_R%7CGRPSHOCAMS_1110300452___
and what i was thinking is to go to the junk yard and getting a compressor from something with airbag suspension and installing it to supply air to the shocks. the shocks i want are rated up to 150 psi which i will never take it up that far and alot of the airbag suspension compresors are rated up to 160 psi. i was going to install 2in gauges for each of the shocks on the dash. my plan is to have the air controlled by valves im planning to put in the arm rest console leading to each shock. i will also be installing a dump valve to release the air from the shocks
the issues that im having are
1. where to run the hoses from the out side to the inside
2. whats a better way to control the air to the shocks rather than having bulky valves
3. would wiring the compresor be hard? my plan is to have it controled by a switch and i would like to be wired through a fuse
4. so i need braided hoses or could i use hoses from a shop compressor im worried about the heat from the engine
