Hello, I put a new hub & bearing assembly (front driver) on my '97 4x4 Explorer last night. I have a few after the fact questions: In my Haynes book it says to replace the wheel hub nut, shoud've I? On the 3 bolts that bolt on the hub, do they need to be torqed to certain specs and do they need lock tight on them? Also the rotor would not come off. I had to take it off with the old hub assembly and pound the crud out of it to get it off. I am going to put new brakes in it tonight and if I run into the same problem on the other side is there a good way to pound the rotor off? Thanks.
