I am in the middle of installing a new 2 way Alarm on my Sport, and have run into a little problem.
For the dome light to come on with the disarm, which the old alarm did also, it has to be hooked up.
The old system used one wire for the door triggers and the dome light, with a seperate +12 volt source.
The new one has a set of wires for the triggers, and a seperate wire for the dome light, and the +12 volt is provided by the alarm.
I have the triggers hooked up, and they work great, but cant hook this seperate dome light wire into the the same wires, as they have different polarities.
According to the two wiring diagrams I have, there is not a dome light wire in the truck, and to refer to the trigger wires.
All that said, can anyone help me out with this? I hate installing alarms!
