Go to Wal-Mart or an autoparts store and get the Ford radio keys. They're about $5 and once you get them, put the keys in those little holes on left and right side of the radio. Once the keys are in (it'll be a little click), push the inner sides of the keys outward and pull the radio out. I hope this is not so confusing but I'm typing this while remembering how to take it out.
Another method is to remove the two screws under the head unit and pull the bezel out with the head unit attached.
You can then pry back the latches that hold the unit in place and work the head unit out.
I ended up going this route after I got tired of screwing around with those "keys".
You can also purchase a mounting kit and wire harness at Walmart for a reasonable price. Good Luck
ok i got it out with a 4.50 tool from walmart that i bent in the process. i went to get the wiring harness from circuit city and gues what? i bought the wrong one. my paps is heading back there to exchange it for me while i do homework. i'll post pics of this bad ass head unit sometime soon. possibly tomorrow! lol peace out guyz
I had the same problem with the wire harness from Circut City.
(they gave me the wrong one). So I went to Walmart saved a few bucks and got the right one. (returned the one to Circut City, NITWITS! )
