Someone please help me. I read all the threads on air box howling and whine. The whine I had was unberable so i broke down and replaced the IAC. The whining has stopped but now my airbox is making a howling sound. From idle to about 60 MPH you can hear it but when I hit 65 it goes away. Does anyone else have this problem? Does any one have any ideas?

It gives you the perfect opportunity and justificatin to get an aftermarker intake system.

Good luck .....

THIS does not sound like a reason for a 911 to me. You are not that new, you should know better.

Well 911 means emergency, I need help immediately. Being that I am selling my ex and someone is coming to look at it on tuesday and it started making the damn sound after replacing that IAC, um yeah, I need help immediately. I don't want this sale to be crushed because of this annoying sound. If I was keeping my ex and it was no big rush then yeah i would have posted in a different forum. Hope you never call "911" with that attitude.

The only way your airbox would make that howling is either: its in heat wanting another ex or in some point and time somebody removed the air intake on the airbox. It look like it is restricting the air, but without it you could have that howling noise. Its right the airbox behide the left headlight.

ops, I meant the RIGHT headlight!
