First, My 95 explorer when I start it in the morning doesn't want to stay started. It does remain started but idle rivs up to keep it going. Then when I go down our hill we live on it dies. <---- My first problem
Second, Now all of a sudden my air is no longer cold. When the air is on, you can hear the engine being dragged down. Then serging then dragged down. Not slowly but often. Appox 10 times per minute. I hope these two problems are linked. Marilyn

The two problems seem unrelated. The first problem seems like your IAC valve. The second problem is because your a/c system has lost too much refrigerant and probably has a leak. Take the truck into a reputable shop and have a pro check for leaks in the system. If he finds none, have him recharge the a/c.

Don't think it is refrigerant

The reason I don't think it is the refrigerant is because It was real cool then parked for 30 minutes got back in and only hot air. As far as the IAC valve that is what it sounded like to me except for what I had read said it stalled after the truck was warm. So, wasn't sure if it would do that in a cool truck. Thanks, Marilyn:)
