- 98 Eddie Bauer Explorer
Hello everyone, this is my first post. Please forgive me if I have broken any forum rules....
I just recently bought a 98 explorer, Bauer edition. I put new air shocks back on and they work great except I am still getting the check air message on the message center. This is the instructions that came with the shocks to stop the error message after installing the new shocks. I am assuming is has something to do with the wires I had to cut from the old shocks?
1. Remove the message center refer to appropriate workshop manual for R&R instructions (section 413-08 for 97 and 98 model years and sections 13-08 for 95-96 model year).
2. Disconnect connectors C2008 and C2009.
3. Remove circuit 431 PK/W from C2008 and circuit 419 DG/LG from C2009.
4. Cover the terminals with tape.
5. Reconnect C2008 and C2009.
6. Install message center refer to appropriate workshop manual for R&R instructions (section 413-08 for 97 and 98 model years and sections 13-08 for 95-96 model year).
Can anyone translate what they are saying for me? Does any one have a copy of the manual they are talking about?
