This is my first Explorer ('99 Sport) and I'm already experiencing the dreaded airbag light issue. It flashes 3 then 7 then stays on. I've done some searching on here and learned all about the yellow plug and blowing into it. Well I look under the passenger seat and find the yellow cap I guess I would call it, and nothing is plugged into it. I unsnapped it from the seat frame and pulled it out to look at it but didn't see anything under the seat that would plug into it. I guess my question is, with the light being on, and flashing 3-7 keep the front airbags from working? If not and they will work properly then I may just pull out the gauge cluster and remove the bulb. Any input would be great. Thanks in advance!

Up next, figure out why the CD changer cartridge won't eject!

You need a resistor to be plugged into it: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1671824&postcount=174

That little yellow plug is what I have and was attached to the seat frame. There is nothing plugged into it though. That is the resistor correct? The drivers side has the resistor and it has something plugged into it. The passenger side is the problem and I can't seem to find a loose wire under the seat. I'll double check again tomorrow though. Sorry if I'm being ignorant.

Well I just double checked this morning to see if I missed something but I'm pretty sure I didn't. I looked under the front and the back and like I stated before, the yellow resistor is clipped to the rear of the seat frame but nothing is plugged into it. I looked all over the place under there and see no loose wire that would plug into it. Has anybody run into this before. Will the airbags work regardless? Then I can just pull the bulb out of the cluster.

Does anybody know where the other end of this wire is located so I can start looking for it from the other end? It is not visible anywhere under the seat and I did not see it/feel it under the carpet under the seat. I figured I should look where it runs under the dash. Can anybody point me in the right direction?
