AL4D Takin A Crap Any Other Trannys That Will Bolt Up

Hey guys, I was wondering if there are any other trannys that will replace that POS AL4D Auto tranny. If so what kind of price I am looking at? I have the plain old 4.0 in my '92. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I don't think anyone makes a setup for the AOD to bolt to your 4.0. But i beleive if you can find the bellhousing for a Bronco II or Ranger with the C4, you can use that. Maybe someone else can help more than me, but that's what i have heard.

anybody want to shed some light on this one....

I think I am just going to rebuild the POS 4.0, but expect to have 175-200 rear wheel horsepower. I just to want to have this stock tranny - "it is the weakest link" - goodbye.
