I just did the TT/shackles, and I need an alignment. Actually, I needed one before the lift. I have been asking around and from what everyone says, it looks like it will be around $45-60 for the alignment. But if it needs shims, it will be more like $100-110. Do these prices seem right? Do I even need shims? I thought I heard somewhere that only 94-down use shims and 95-up don't. Is this correct? I need help soon. I need to do it soon before I tear up the tires too much. Thanks.
One more question, How long should it take before the torsion bars fully settle after the TT?

You are correct. You have the newer front suspension. Your torsion bars settled as soon as your explorer hit the ground. TT should not exceed 2 inches. Get your alignment done ASAP. Shims are not used on your suspension.

yeah... you dont need shims..... but you do need an alignment or youll see wear in like 4000 miles..... also i would take it to a 4x4 shop.... they do more quality work than the franchise chain shops...... trust me.. i work at one of those franchise chain shops

Thanks for the feedback guys. I guess I need to lower the front just a hair since it looks a little higher than the rear. I want to get it evened out before the alignment is done. Is there a place to measure on the front and rear where you will get the same measurement when the front and rear are even? I was just kind of eyeballing it. Also, will the alignment change the height I set at all?
