Well I have a RF Punch 800a2 that I wanted to mount somewhere other than the back of the seat. I decided on the storage compartment in the back. I ended up buying half a sheet of diamond plated aluminum. I built almost a little box for the amp and bought a blue neon light to cast a shadow over it and my friend gave me a small cooling fan to keep the temps down.

Now the amp is quite large and the stock hole for the storage compartment is very small. I want to cut the hole bigger to mount flush with the ends of my little box. I also want a plexiglass cover to keep stuff from hitting it and to make it look better. But I'm not sure what to do about attaching it to the plastic panel. Any ideas?

Hey,
What I did was removed the storage box and trim ring. I them cut a piece fo plexi the same size as the ring and screwed it into the plastic panel. I then used velcro to attach the trim ring, which covered the screws nicely. You just have to use a thin piece of plexi.

here's a pic

Looks good mike! I don't think I've ever seen those pics.. and it's quite a clean install!

Great looking install. That's what I originally intended to do but the amp is too big so you can't see any of the diamond plated aluminum i spent so much time and money on. I guess I'll jujst experiment with stuff when I get home for break (although I hate to do irreversible cutting while experimenting)

Hey Mikey i have the same amp and cap and i want to install them in that same back panel area as u have them. U said u used velcro to put the cover piece back over the plexiglass, did u break off the little tabs first? Also how did u get the amp to stay back there without moving? is it sitting on an amp rack or is it bolted in or? please let me know!!

Hey man,
i was looking at your pictures and I saw you had your cap mounted back in the stoargae spot. I was going to tell you that, My cap the instructions told me its supposed to be mounted within 18" of the amps in order for it to work effectivly. Just something to think about. I do like your setup though.. Diamonplate!
