Hi!
I'm helping a friend with his 89' Ford Ranger. Equipped with 2,9 liter V6.
The charging of the battery is very poor because of some error in the alternator. It becomes hot as hell after just a few minutes of running the engine. The charging voltage is only 12,8 V.
Currently there is Delco alternator in the truck but I suspect that it isn't the original one. There is no tag or number at all on the alternator.
Can anyone here help me with some facts on the original alternator?
Make/modell?
How many Amps?
Ford original part number?
I'm very happy for any help in this case.
Best regards
