Some Ltds and EBs had 130, but dunno what year that started.

Tru yeah i know about the whole GP but it can't come this week...i started up the new business and need to make orders so i can build a cash flow....if im lucky MAYBE i can squeeze it in....

Huh? Say what?

Well anyway, if you're lookin for a high-amp alt for your 92, try to find a 94 Limited in a junkyard; it will have a 130 amp alt that will bolt right up on yours. Or you could go to a store (like Autozone) and say you own a 94 Limited and need a new alternator--it will be a 130 amp.

i got a 130 and i'm upgrading to 200 next week.

wonder if a 96 V8 xlt alt would bolt in?

kinda off the topic and kinda on the topic....what kinda increase in voltage would i be lookin at here would a 130 be substantially better than what i have now???

I am running the Concept 2400 off a stock alt now what kinda improvements you think we could be talking (directed at Expo)

HotCty, if I were you I'd go ahead and go with a 200 or somewhere around there. If you get a 130 you're just gonna want more later.

I upgraded from the stock 95 amp to a 130 amp out of a limited. It was a waste of the $130 and I now wish I would have got the 200 amp one.

i don't know what actual gains to expect. I do know that my explorer used to run 14.4 or so if i didn't run the stereo for a while while idling, and it never got above 14.0 with the system on. it held in there, but couldn't maintain the higher numbers and would sometimes fall down around 12.0. Now i've almost doubled my power and i am upgrading the alt in hopes of keeping the volts up a little higher. more importantly i got two of those svr batteries that are rated at 2400 max amps. I used an isolator for them (which cuts your voltage a little bit i've heard, but its worth it so that you don't drain the starter battery)

if i were you i'd upgrade as soon as possible. i'll know more in a week or so about my own experience.
