i have a 95 ex that's loaded and the battery keeps going dead. with nothing on i have a .8 to 1.0 amp draw is this normal or is it to much?

It's way too much. Normal draw is about 0.05A, possibly up to 0.1A.
1.0A will discharge a good battery in a couple days; an older one probably much sooner.
Make sure when measuring that everything is off, all the doors are closed, and you don't have anything plugged into the cigarette lighter socket. If memory serves, you also need to wait something like 10 minutes after closing the last door, for the computer to 'go to sleep' before the measurement is valid.
If you still see the excessive draw, start pulling fuses one-by-one, until you find the culprit.
By the way, what is your vehicle 'loaded' with? Anything after-market that could be defective?
