Ok, I just stumbled upon this thread on another side... the guy talks about angle wedges to decrease the wear on the U-Joint when you install lowering blocks... Anyone hear of these before or know where to get them?

scroll all the way to the bottom and you'll see what I'm talking about.

It's called pinion angle, the angle of the differential to the driveshaft.

Oh, you're welcome, that took me a whole 3 minutes of searching ;)

How wide are the explorer's leaf springs? I would go outside and measure... but my ex is parked a lil over a mile away =P

Alec: I was looking for explorer specific specs =P I guess I was a little too vauge in my original post.

Sport = 3" wide
4 door = 2.5" wide

Unless you go up more than 4" or down more than 2" you shouldn't need to worry about pinion angle.
