- 2003 Mountaineer
Hi all,
I have a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer AWD with a 4.0-liter V6. It came with the Luxury Preferred Equipment Package, which added leather upholstery, heated front seats, power for the passenger seat, memory for the driver's seat and pedals a message center, dual automatic temperature control, audiophile stereo with a six-CD changer, steering-wheel mounted climate and audio controls, electrochromic heated mirrors, painted running boards and 245/65R17 all-terrain tires.
I recently replaced the OE tires after 50k with Michelin LTXs and I've replaced the front brake pads. The truck has been rock-solid reliable. On the fuel economy side, it averaged 15.70 in 2005 and 19 in 2006.
I also have a Caddy and a Honda Odyssey. Both have a big following with their own forums. I've been looking for a forum for the Mercury, so I'm glad I found this one. I post often in the Caddy and Honda boards, so hopefully I'll be able to contribute here as well.
Lastly, I'm also a big collectible/special interest vehicle car guy. I go to the big Hershey meet every fall and plan to stop by Carlisle this year as well. In my free time I like to try to figure out where the last 10/20 years of my life went
