Yup, another one. I know rough idle threads are common and I did a quick search, but I just wanted to get some opinions from you guys here.

My truck every now and then feels like it wants to die and the RPM drops down to 500 where it should be 900-1000 at idle. If I give it gas when its at 500 it comes close to stalling and it shutters real nasty.

About 2 months ago now I got the camshaft positioning sensor replaced by Ford and lets just say it cost a bundle. A week after the replacement I got a new check engine light code saying my oxygen sensor wasn't reading correctly or something to that effect. The check engine light just turned off after like 3 days and I thought my troubles were over. I was wrong. I am currently getting that rough idle and yesterday my truck actually cut off in drive.

Do you guys think its my oxygen sensor or something else? I mean yes the check engine light came on for it but it turned itself off a few days later... I mean, I guess I will start at the oxygen sensors but what else could it be? Lets just say I am not the most knowledgable when it comes to this stuff. About the hardest thing I have done to my truck was replace the spark plugs and that was a couple days ago.

What was the code you got? It may not necessarily be the O2 that's giving you the problem

See thats one of my problems... I dont know the code because after the check engine light turned off, I tossed the slip. I remember it saying something about it failing. It was on Bank 2...

I will take it to autozone tonight and see if they can pull anything off of it. I havent disconnected the battery so hopefully its still in the memory...

Didn't get a chance to run by autozone but I forgot to include an important detail....

The truck smells like it is running rich.
