another tranny prob!

im about 2 purchase another explorer a 96 sport. it is in so so shape except when driving you have 2 let off tha gas for tha vehicle to shift what could be the problem?

I just had the exact thing happen to me over the weekend. My Explorer is a 95 automatic, nearing about 180,000 miles. I took it in this morning and heard back that the 2nd gear clutch is worn out. It has to be pulled out, and the estimate is $1300-2000.
