Hey guys.

I'm currently modifying a set of Mark VIII cruise control buttons and am attempting to change out the blue lighting to a color of my choice. The problem with the mark buttons is that the blue light is created through a regular incandescent bulb shining through thick blue plastic-y film as pictured below:

I've tried scraping and dremelling, but it's just too thick. Any chemical idea for taking it off and not harming the rest of the plastic button?

Thanks in advance!

Blurry pic. Can you get a better shot?

The only chemical I know that might help you is a strong nail polish remover with a high concentration of it's active ingredient...

Other then that idk what to tell you.

Unfortunately my camera can't seem to get a decent shot of it for some reason. Time for a new one!

I tried both regular nail polish with acetone and a 70% rubbing alcohol, and neither so much as peeled anything off :(
