Any ideas what this might be?

I was sealing my back quarter panel window when i noticed this mounted device with a few plugs in it, kinda strange looks like an amp but who knows since the previous owner rewired the entire car, most of the electrical is shot from leakage damage, now that its fixed... Anybody know what that goes to?

It's the amp for the old audio system. Depending on what happened in the past, it may or may not be in the loop of the current audio system.

thats the factory amp for the jbl premium sound system, it isnt bypassed from what i see in the picture, i just bypassed mine, if your stereo is poo, buy the bypass kit, i got mine from best buy for like 20bucks.
