Anybody in Fremont, CA or close with a winch?

as some of you know i got kicked out of my house last week and got into an accident too. it is more cost effective to leave my X alone than fix it. does anyone locally have a winch that i can meet u somewhere to yank my bumper out a little bit? it is rubbing on my tire some. then ill go to pick and pull and get a new headlight and not worry about the rest. think of it this way...next time i go trailriding or whatever i have less to damage and dont have to worry about it...

Got access to a chain and some immovable object? If you do that should cover it.

nope...but thanks anyway for taking the time to reply....mmmmmmmm i have a friend with a machine shop he has chain....probably a tree or two too. or ill just attach it to his truck and stick it in reverse......hhhhmmmm you trigered thought......anybody locally have a winch that would probably be easier?

I think what Tom's trying to say is he doesn't want to be responsible if you accidently rip the whole bumper off your truck.

If you can't get together with Tom in Oakland, I've got a winch also. I'm in San Jose and I work in Los Gatos.

where in sj? i actually work in santa clara so you are probably right around the corner. i work near 101 @ bowers/great america prkway

I'm near the Costco by 85 and Almaden Expressway. Weekdays are bad for me because I have to take care of my son (6 months old) until my wife gets home. And the only weekend that's good for me is Sunday 3/25/2001.

If you want to swing by my office at lunch time or in the morning, we can see if it can be done. I'm in Los Gatos, Vasona Lake County Park, just off 85 and 17 (Lark Ave). I'm usually in the office around 6:45/7:00AM if you want to come early also.

Correct.

I will also be in the my truck, standing on the brakes.

I can come down at night; but do you have a place to do this?


If it doesn't rain this weekend (and they are finally predicting that, after 5 weekends in a row!) I'll be working on the truck (onboard air, wheel bearings, RA bushing replacements)

I'm cutting my fenders tonight for the 35" MTRs, and picking them up tomorrow afternoon (in Walnut Creek).
