I like the R's but i like to stay away from what everyone else has. What kind of amp do you have? I have a nice sub that have good SQ and SPL when you need it. Its a Hollywood Excursion 1280D dual 4 ohm. Let me know if your interested.

I have a Rockford punch 500 amp.I am putting this in my 89 honda accord I just bought a alpine deck and it has 4 JBL pro 6x9 in it already and it sounds awesome,I just need a little more bass.

What about infinity perfect's?

Boomin is your sub a 10?Expo you got any input?

Boomin I am more into a 10 inch sorry

Anybody?:D

then i would go with an infinity perfect. Good buys for them on Ebay

Boomin I have heard that from alot of people

I think I am going to just buy one 10 perfect in a q logic enclosure:D

Yea, hard to beat the perfect 10", I just installed one in a buddy's S10, it sounds great. Great SQ, not a whole lot of SPL, but it thumps when needed :D Stay away from ebay tho...That sub is known for blowing fairly easily, so watch your wattage and make sure you get a good warranty :)

Thanks for the info Ryan.I am still a little undecided,I want a sub that sounds good in a sealed enclosure and sounds awesome with hard rock music, pantera, godsmack, etc. It will be in the trunk of my accord:D

the infinitys will sound good with any type of music...we put 2 12"s in my friends civic they "sound" awesome...they just dont seem to have the abusive bass we were looking for...but SQ is there deffinantly they played everything from rap to techno some oldies a few aoustic soungs...all sounded really really nice but if ur into heavy mind numbing over odsessive bass then these arent for u lol

Hey I'm the man to answer your questions :)

I have 2 alpine E 12' subs and a qlogic sealed phase 2 enclosure.

They hit very hard (more than what I need usually, they actually shake the f-ck outta my chairs and have cuased my rearview mirror to slide UP and come off the bracket more times then I'de like to remember.)

I have found that they get just a tad sloppy (hard to notice) with some of the rediculous bass found on older/newer metallica that I listen to but I'm not sure even the best could keep up with some of their songs....

Personally if I were you, I'de get a single 12' (10's are eh ok but bigger is better) Type R and a Qlogic Enclosure and I will swear by Qlogic, no one can make anything better.

I just bought a alpine cda-7995 last week and I would like to stick with alpine. Thanks alot for your input Foo:D
