Anyone break a connector on the starter before?

A few weeks ago, I could not get my car to start. upon closer inspection the hot lead on the starter had come loose, to my surprise it was not the wire breaking or the bolt coming out, but the ring terminal itself had broken. has anyone had this happen before?

Yup happened on my Chevy k2500 , just bite the bullet and get a new starter.

it was the ring terminal on the wire. not the starter. starter was fine. replaced the ring terminal no problem. all is good now, just seemed odd

Yes happened to me before and I remember finding a thread on this site that alerted me to diagnose and look for it. I crimped on a new terminal clip and quick fix
