Anyone buy a tranny from Tom's River Transmissions?

Rebuilt Transmissions for Sale

I'm always looking for good quality parts and came across this transmission distributor. When I got looking at prices these guys are like $500 below the next best price for a 5r55s transmission, they want $1250 for rebuilt units. Just wondering if anyone has done business with them.

Or are they cheaper because of being rebuilt versus remanned units, or is that essentially the same thing?

I can’t comment on them personally but a quick google search of them tells me all I need to know. Transmissions are one thing not to price shop for as you get what you pay for. Find someone local that will be close if an issue arises and not required to take transmission out and ship back. Just my opinion. Good luck!
