The track on mine broke. Not sure of the best and easiest way to tackle it to repair it. Nothing is missing...it seems. I compared the drivers door to the passenger door and it just needs put back into place. That is easier said than actually done though. I have given up for the moment. Right now my window is in a bind and its about 2" from being closed or up. It won't go either direction now. It just pivots in its stuck position. By the way, it's actually the guide track towards the lock mechanism. The track that moves to lower and raise the window is in tact. The piece on mine was laying inside the door.

Cherry, the spot weld can fail on the mounting tab, it gets a bit of force against it when the door slams. All you need possibly is one small drywall FRAMING screw to reattach it. That type of screw will fit in the weatherstripped groove and has a low enough profile so as the glass won't hit it and break. Also be careful a loose track can move and break the door ajar switch on the latch causing more problems. Get the door panel off and peel back the water shield, then look in there and see if the tab at the bottom is loose.

The door ajar switch was already not working. I noticed that when I first got the vehicle. The dash light would never light up when the drivers side door was opened. Exterior mirror lights wouldn't come on either when the drivers door was opened. From the looks of it, I am gonna have to somehow remove the window to re install the track. Then, if it works from there I will have to put the window back into the track. I think someone has had some kind of issue with the track before. The bolt on the bottom left of the door skin (towards the latch side of the door) was also inside of the door itself. The hole where that bolt went through the door skin has been enlarged too much. It's like it has been moving. I will probably have to use a decent washer for the bolt to hold it.

I repaired a broken front lower track recently. The spot welds can break off the bracket that holds the lower track in place. Without that bracket the track falls off. I repaired my by grinding off the spot welds and replacing them with 2 drill screws. I thought about having it welded, but it was easier for me to just use screws. I peeled the rubber track back and used the holes created by the broken spot welds for the screws. The heads of the drill screws are small and did not interfere with the glass.

I've also dealt with a front window that had come out of its track because that glass had come unglued from its retaining bracket when it got hung up on a speaker part the PO had installed in the door. I removed the inside and outside glass sweeps to get some wiggle room and wrestled with the glass until I got it back in its track. I had to turn it at quite a severe angle to get it back in the track. Lastly a used 3M yellow stripping adhesive to glue the glass back in its retainer and lubed the tracks with a generous amount Liquid Wrench brand foaming silicon spray. The window has worked fine ever since.
