Anyone know the size of a lowering block?

I'm a machinist and have been toying with the idea of making my own lowering blocks. I was going to machine them out of cast aluminum. I was wondering if anyone knows the width and length of the blocks?

Look at the square plate that is welded to your axle and is secured against the leaf springs. Just make them a little longer and wider than that and you're set.
