anyone running 4.56 gears ? i need help !

...ok i'm running ford brand gears (4.56) just put them in . i have a question for you guys . i bought the cross pin from ricmond for a ford 8.8 running 4.56 gears ...what gives it won't work ...so i had to grind down one side of my stock pin till i can find a pin thats right .

what pin have you guys used before ?

The same one you're using. Grinding the stock pin down is the only way to make it work/fit. Everyone runs them without problems.

Yea, the guy i had do my gears just machined mine till it work, he also had to machine a little bit of the gears, but thats only for 4.88s i think, shouldnt be needed for 4.56s from what ive read

Yeah, I don't think the guy who did mine shaved the gears, just the pin.

Randy's Ring and Pinion sent me a free cross pin when i bought the front and rear gear set... i think it was a Yukon brand.
